30 days music challenge

DAY 1

First 10 songs on shuffle, write a little about each one.

Flying - The Beatles: Not a big fan of this song, The Beatles is one of my top bands, therefore I keep ALL the songs on my computer anyway.

Rebel Prince - Rufus Wainwright: Aw, Rufus. How I loved you in 2005-2006. I got a bit bored with you.. hm, but this is a great song.

Brainy - The National: Love this song, love it, love it. It’s that kind of song I know all the words to, it’s always in my “most played” top list and it still sends shivers down my spine.

Stockholm - Jonathan Johansson: My favourite Swedish singer right now. When I saw him live a couple of months ago I died during this song. Just dropped down and died. I think non-Swedish tumblr-users can appreciate Jonathan, his songs are beautiful, dark and filled with sadness.

Human - The Killers: I know, in 2009 you wanted to smash someone in the face after hearing this song 100, 000 times. But I must admit that I really like it and I was probably one of those who queued this on every party I went to for 6 months.

California Gurls - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg: .. I have some dark spots in my soul.. but I’m not ashamed of it! Some songs are just great for jumping around in your livingroom and just being silly.

The Magic Position - Patrick Wolf: I left Patrick Wolf back with Rufus, I felt like we were “done”. But this song still makes my ridiculously happy and I dance. Always.

Common People - William Shatner: Hehe, hehe, it’s great! Just great.

I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor - Arctic Monkeys: This song takes me back to the 16 year old version of me who was too cool for a mainstream band like Arctic Monkeys (really. I didn’t think that they were any good.) but who loved this song in secret.

Comfortably Numb - The Scissor Sisters: I love this cover. I have a boyfriend and a father who worships Pink Floyd, and frankly, I got kind of tired of the progressive wonderband. When I heard this song I just found it fresh, interesting and smooth.
